     Block Watch Information

The Royalton has been an active member of Block Watch since 2003. Block Watch is a volunteer proactive crime prevention program run by Royalton Volunteers in conjunction with the New Westminster City Police Service. Besides obtaining memberships from a majority of our owners and residents, the Royalton’s Block Watch volunteer captains arrange an informational meeting once a year on a pertinent and current topic regarding safety. Recent topics have been building security and identity theft. Our volunteers do their work with support and input from the New Westminster City Police Department.

The Royalton recognizes the importance of preventative security maintenance. We continually assess and improve the security of our building, which has resulted in a safe and secure environment. Always remember the motto “no key no entry!”

Security

  • Security is the responsibility of every resident of the Royalton. The front door and the garage doors are the entrances to everyone's home.
  • Do not let anyone into the building that you do not know.
  • Do not let anyone in behind you as you enter the building unless you know them to be a resident.
  • When entering or leaving the building, make sure that the doors are closed, latched and locked behind you.
  • When moving items in or out through the garage entrance, do not leave the open garage door or doors to the elevator vestibule unattended.
  • Report all suspicious activity or theft to the Strata Council and the police.
