Council members have taken their volunteer positions to new heights seldom seen in other buildings. They know their building inside and out - administratively and mechanically. To assist them in the daily operations of the building is the extremely hands-on Building Manager, who has saved the strata thousands of dollars in energy consumption and in pencil-sharpening maintenance initiatives. The Council Treasurer tracks every penny spent and is currently working on long term planning so owners are not hit with sudden assessments. The President has spent an enormous amount of time developing procedures to facilitate the smooth running of the corporation and to improve resident communication. In stratas everywhere these days, security is a huge issue. With the active BLOCKWATCH and security committee at the Royalton, this is not an issue that requires much time.
